You are my special Friend

Friends may come and friends may go
but a friend like you
makes the world a brighter place.
We can spend time chatting about everything,
from happy times to hurtful ones,
and laugh and cut up
and we have never even seen each others face.
If only the world could be so free.
We see a stranger on the street and we make
judgement calls right away.
That is so sad to me.
I wish that we could get to know that person
before we make that judgement call.
It is not fair to think that a bum on the street
is there because he wants to be.
There could be some real reason, like
he could be sick or lost his job and house
for some reason we never will know.
He could have been in a flood and lost everything
and can not get a job because,
he has no clean clothes
and no money to buy them,
no insurance to get another home
or some other devastating event.
Why do we judge by the way someone looks or
the way that they speak or some other flaw
that we can find?
It is so nice to find good
friends on this puter of mine, who
don't judge me before they get to know me.
I am glad you are one of those people and
I just wanted to tell you that your
friendship means a lot to me.
You are my special friend.
